FIELD: imaging devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for forming a multi-aspect image of a projection type. Device comprises at least one projector configured to form an image in a corresponding viewing area, wherein each of the at least one projector is spaced from the geometric centre of the corresponding viewing area in the vertical plane relative to the eyes of the viewer and is located outside the corresponding viewing area, screen unit, having a scattering spatial distribution function and/or a reflection spatial distribution function, and configured to form at least one viewing area of the formed image. Screen unit has a retroreflector, an optical light-diffusing element, a redirecting optical element and a compensation unit, which are optically coupled with at least one projector and with at least one observer pupil.
EFFECT: invention provides higher contrast and image quality.
