METHOD OF TREATING NEUROSENSORY RETINAL DETACHMENT USING NAVIGATION PANRETINAL SUBTHRESHOLD MICROPULSE LASER EXPOSURE IN CASES OF INCOMPLETE RETINAL ADHESION AFTER SURGICAL TREATMENT OF RHEGMATOGENOUS RETINAL DETACHMENT Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61F9/07 A61F9/08 A61B3/00

Abstract RU 2821277 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Neurosensory retinal detachment is treated with the use of a navigation panretinal subthreshold micropulse laser exposure in cases of incomplete retinal adherence following the surgical management of the rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. Over the entire area of the detached neurosensory retina from the extreme periphery to the posterior pole of the eye, determined by spectral optical coherence tomography (SOCT), navigation panretinal subthreshold micropulse laser exposure (SMPLE) is carried out. 14 single test applicates are applied in the “testing” mode in the micropulse mode until applicate of 1st degree according to the classification L'Esperance appears with energy parameters: micropulse duration – 50 mcs, interval between pulses – 200 mcs, working cycle – 10%, packet duration – 10 ms, spot diameter – 145 mcm, inter-spot distance – 0.25 of applicate diameter, wavelength – 577 nm, power values are from 600 to 1,200 mW, after which SMPLE is performed. Power index is reduced from the level obtained as a result of testing by 50 % when performing SMPLE within the vascular arcades and by 30% outside the vascular arcades.

EFFECT: method provides complete adhesion of the neurosensory retinal detachment, without the risk of damaging the retinal structures, evacuation of fluid from the subretinal space, complete anatomical adherence of the retina, improved functional outcome of treatment, no need for additional surgical interventions.
