FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: system for monitoring and assessing the state of replaceable refractory elements at a metallurgical enterprise comprises identifiable metallurgical containers (1) with replaceable refractory elements (1p), which replace refractory elements (1r) with machine-readable marks (1t) containing identification data of element (1r), station (2) for reading marks (1t), tool (3) for assessing the state of refractory elements connected to container (1), and control unit (4) comprising an electronic processor and connected to station (2) and tool (3). State of plates (1u, 1L, 1m) of slide gate with collector cup (1n) is determined by tool (3). Tool (3) comprises main body (44) with device (9) for sealing the header cup, injection device with pressure regulator (6), device (7) for measuring gas flow rate, connected to controller (8) for receiving data on relative position plates. By processing data of measurement of gas flow rate and relative position of plates of the slide gate, the controller evaluates the wear indices of the plates.
EFFECT: obtaining data on wear of refractory elements in relation to peculiarities of their manufacture and parameters of metal production.
