FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to improve the performance characteristics of products (blanks) made from steels of various structural classes. The method of thermomagnetic treatment of cylindrical products made of ferritic and ferrite-pearlite steels includes heat treatment of products by preheating to a temperature of 30-50 °С above the austenite point, followed by isothermal exposure, then the products are cooled to a temperature of 450-550 °C in air with simultaneous exposure to a constant magnetic field with a magnetic field strength of at least 19.6×106 A/m, after which the exposure to the constant magnetic field is stopped and the products are completely cooled in air, while the isothermal exposure is carried out for a time determined by the following formula: t=(d/Vhard)+(°t/Theat), where: t - holding time, min, d - maximum diametrical size of the product, mm; Vhard - steel hardening speed, mm/min; °t - heating temperature,°C; Theat - rate of through heating of the product to a given temperature, °C/min.
EFFECT: ensuring the occurrence of structural-phase transformations or redistribution of alloying elements during implementation of diffusion processes by optimizing the parameters of thermomagnetic processing of products and taking into account the overall dimensions of the processed products.
