FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: item out of alloyed die steel is subject to magnetic treatment in constant magnetic field with strength not less 16.9×105 A/m at temperature 20°C with number of cycles not less, than three and with conditioning for 2 minutes in each cycle; further item is subject to thermal treatment; also items are oriented across or along magnetic field.
EFFECT: increased reliability of dies out of complex alloyed steel by thermal treatment at presence of external magnetic field.
