FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention represents a method for rooting of green cuttings of horticultural crops. In the method, which involves soaking cuttings before planting for 16–24 hours in a solution of indolyl butyric acid at concentration of 25–50 mg/l and planting in a substrate, in accordance with the invention, the lower part of the cuttings treated in the indole butyric acid solution is additionally dipped in the composition of natural components containing a binder and a filler, diluted in water to a creamy consistency, then the cuttings are air-dried, creating a protective capsule which prevents direct contact of the cutting with the soil and breaks down at the beginning of active growth of roots. Cuttings are dipped at 1.5–2 cm based on standard planting depth of green cuttings for rooting in the substrate.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase rooting ability of green cuttings.
