SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power converters. For this purpose, a power converter is proposed, in which inverter (21) of the compensation unit supplies current by switching elements (Sr1, Sr2, Ssl, Ss2, Stl, St2) compensating current (Ia(uvw)) to AC power supply (2) through current compensation unit throttle (23) so that expression (1) is satisfied: Td ≤ (34.00/fsw−0.145)(1.55−0.055*Pmax), where fsw (kHz) represents the carrier frequency used to generate the excitation signal (Sd), Pmax (kW) represents the maximum input power of the power conversion unit (10), and Td (µs) is nonworking time for the excitation signal (Sd).
EFFECT: higher efficiency of compensation for harmonic component contained in load current in power converter including current compensation unit.
