SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of informing a driver of a vehicle on the distance from the vehicle to an obstacle. Method of informing consists in using a system comprising: sensors, a control unit and a driver informing device. Sensors are installed on the vehicle and serve to determine the distance between the vehicle and the obstacle. Information on the measured distance is transmitted to the control unit. Control unit generates control signal. Control signal is transmitted to the driver information device. Driver information device is made in the form of a piece of clothing having sets of vibration motors on the front and rear parts. Control unit generates control signal depending on distance between vehicle and obstacle.

EFFECT: reduced probability of vehicle driver skipping information on distance to obstacle.
