FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to anaesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care, and can be used for puncture of inferior vena cava. Patient is laid on the left side; a needle sticking point is found 1 cm below the point of intersection of 12th rib with the extensor muscle of the back. Infiltration anaesthesia of skin is performed, and a needle is used to direct the needle in the direction of the inferior vena cava along the retroperitoneal space under ultrasound control. When passing the needle, a simultaneous injection of an anaesthetic is performed. Reaching the lumen of the inferior vena cava is recorded by obtaining blood in the syringe with the backward movement of the syringe plunger. Further, a guide is delivered through the needle and a catheter is installed.
EFFECT: method enables accessing the inferior vena cava for placing the catheter as a reserve route for administering the preparations due to the combination of selecting the most optimal place and the technique of introducing the catheter.
