FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology, namely to ophthalmosurgery. Iris root is fixed to the sclera with U-shaped sutures. Root of the iris is anchored to the sclera with U-shaped intrascleral sutures with a knot in the anterior chamber and an intrascleral section of the filament passage, for this purpose, a non-traumatic needle with a polypropylene suture is delivered transcorneally through the periphery of the cornea. Then through the iris root in the iridodialysis sector, at 0.5–1.0 mm from the iris edge, and is brought out extrascleral and extraconjunctival 1.5–2.5 mm from the limb. At the next stage, needle is pricked in at the suture exit point, and the needle is delivered intrasclera in parallel to the limb and brought out onto the conjunctival surface; the stitch length is 2–5 mm. At the next stage, needle with a polypropylene suture is inserted through the sclera, the iris root and transcorneally brought out to the surface of the corneal periphery, the needle is cut off, the suture ends are brought by the hook-manipulator into the paracentesis located in the iridodialysis sector and tightened, and the obtained knot is immersed into the anterior chamber of the eye. In a particular case, a bent atraumatic needle 13 mm long and polypropylene suture 9-0 or 10-0 are used.
EFFECT: method enables reducing injuries, reducing the risk of developing glaucoma and infectious complications, and improving the cosmetic result.
