FIELD: airtight and heat-insulating tanks.

SUBSTANCE: tank includes a thermal barrier suitable for attachment to a supporting structure. The thermal barrier includes a plurality of insulating panels arranged next to each other in a regular pattern. Two adjacent insulating panels form an interpanel space including an outer portion and an inner portion superimposed on each other in the direction of the thickness of the thermal insulating barrier. In this case, the outer section is suitable for location near the supporting structure, and the inner section is located near the inside of the tank. The tank further includes insulation seals (11, 12), including two outer insulation seals (11) located adjacent to each other in the outer portion of the interpanel space so that they have two adjacent edges (13), and an inner insulation seal (12), located in the internal section of the interpanel space. The inner insulation seal (12) is applied in the thickness direction of the thermal insulation barrier to the two outer insulation seals (11) so that it covers two adjacent edges of the outer insulation seals (11).

EFFECT: offering a sealed and heat-insulating tank with a sealing membrane, in which the phenomena of convection in heat-insulating barriers are reduced.
