FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used for restoration of passive flexion in elbow joint in children with arthrogryposis. Method involves performing a posterior arthrotomy of the elbow joint, incising lateral ligaments, mobilizing the triceps muscle of the shoulder along its entire length. Peripherally acting muscle relaxant is introduced into long, medial and lateral heads of triceps muscle.
EFFECT: method provides effective restoration of passive flexion in the elbow joint and preservation of extension due to surgical treatment and introduction of a muscle relaxant.
