FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hunting equipment, namely to reloading of cartridge cases, and can be used for recovery of hunting cartridges cases, keeping their geometrical shape and dimensions, by means of crimping in one pass into standard size. Proposed method comprises crimping the case body and its metal part by means of a crimping ring and rolling the edge of the metal part of the case by means of a rolling chamfer. Metal part of the case is passed through the crimping ring, thereby reducing the metal part of the case to standard dimensions. Edge of the metal part of the case reaches the rolling chamfer and is pressed, forming a smooth transition from the metal part of the case to the case body. Crimping ring is made detachable from two parts, one of which – crimping part – is made with possibility of case crimping, and the other – the rolling part – is made with possibility of the case metal part edge rolling. At that, the detachable crimping ring is made adjustable for the vertical size of the metal part of the case with the possibility of rigid fixation of the adjusted size by means of a locking element. Hunting cartridge case recovery device comprises a support, a guide rod rigidly mounted thereon, a rotary head arranged on the guide rod, power lever with pressure roller installed on the upper end of the guide rod, a base pin fixed on the support, a support bushing and a crimping ring with a rolling chamfer.

EFFECT: possibility of high-quality recovery of cartridges ready for reuse in one installation and one movement.
