FIELD: laser processing of materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser processing of materials, in particular, to a method for local adhesive-free connection of glass with glass-ceramic materials (glass-ceramic), based on local softening and welding of glass with glass-ceramic materials under action of focused laser radiation. Method involves focusing femtosecond laser pulses near the interface of the materials being welded, and moving the welded samples along a given trajectory. Femtosecond laser beam with a Bessel energy distribution is used, which generates pulses of 1,030 nm with duration of 180÷900 fs, with repetition frequency 5 kHz, energy 2,500÷8,000 nJ. Welded samples are moved in the plane of contact of materials at rate of 0.2÷2.1 mm/s. Glass used is phosphate glass with a thermal expansion coefficient of 110⋅10-7 K-1. Glass-ceramic material is zinc-magnesium-aluminum-silicate with a thermal expansion coefficient of 62⋅10-7 K-1 or titanium-magnesium-aluminum-silicate with coefficient of thermal expansion of 50⋅10-7 K-1 glass ceramics. At the same time the welded platform is a series of parallel circular tracks with pitch of 5÷20 mcm between tracks.
EFFECT: creation of strong connection of glass with glass ceramics with different values of thermal expansion coefficients.
