FIELD: adhesive-free connection of transparent dielectrics with metals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for precision adhesive-free connection of transparent dielectrics with metals, based on local softening and welding of glasses with metals under the action of focused laser radiation. The femtosecond laser pulses are focused near the interface between the materials to be welded and the focused beam is moved along a given trajectory. A femtosecond laser is used as a laser, generating pulses in the near IR range, with a duration of 180÷1200 fs, with a repetition rate of 200÷1000 kHz, and an energy of 200÷1500 nJ. Focusing is performed with an aspherical lens with a numerical aperture of 0.16÷0.65 into the area of contact of materials and is moved in the plane of contact of materials at a speed of 0.5÷1 mm/s. Quartz glass or lithium aluminosilicate glass-ceramic glass is used as a transparent dielectric, and Invar alloy 64Fe36Ni is used as a metal. The weld is a series of parallel tracks with a step of 10÷100 µm between the tracks.
EFFECT: creating a strong heat-resistant connection of transparent dielectrics with metals.
