SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of train traffic control systems on the railway network and relates to the improvement of the algorithm of interaction of the microprocessor system of the locomotive automatic control and the centralized traffic control system in order to increase efficiency of railway transport. Adaptive train traffic control system consists of a microprocessor system for locomotive automatic control, a centralized traffic control system and a virtual computer system deployed on a centralized traffic control server. Virtual computer system is provided with the function of calculating the locomotive control algorithm taking into account the current train situation, traffic schedule, railway automation signals, train parameters and climatic conditions.

EFFECT: improving operation speed and reliability of the locomotive control system with the possibility to implement the best motion algorithm under the specified operating conditions.
