FIELD: medicine; surgery; oncology; endocrinology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for regional anesthesia/analgesia in operations on thyroid and parathyroid glands. In the position of cervical extension, when turning the head to the counter-lateral side from the manipulation site under ultrasonic navigation along the line of the greatest cross-section of the thyroid lobes a mixture consisting of 20–25 ml of 0.2% or 0.5% Ropivacaine, 2.0 ml of 10% Lidocaine and Adrenaline 1:1,000 is introduced into the cellular space between the proper capsule of the thyroid gland and the fascial compartment from all sides of the thyroid gland.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain a full analgesic effect, reduce the toxic effect, the risk of intravascular administration and block of the sympathetic trunk and vagus nerve, due to application of optimal volume of anesthetics and ultrasonic navigation, which provides access to cellular space of thyroid gland.
