FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a device for stopping external arterial haemorrhage in case of extremity injuries. Device comprises an elastic band with one end attached to the outer part of the garment form, along the lower border of the upper one-third of the shoulder, and with the possibility of being placed in a pocket having a fastener of textile tapes. Pocket is made with possibility of attachment to garment form by means of fastener of textile tapes. Elastic band has a pull-out semi-ring made with possibility of being pulled out by hand and creating a pulling force pulling the elastic band from the pocket. Elastic band is made with possibility of placement under fabric patch sewn on garment. Elastic band is made with possibility of passing through metal buckle attached to upper part of garment directly near pocket, and with the possibility of coming out of it, as well as with the possibility of creating compression in a taut position on the injured limb and with the possibility of clamping the injured limb. Elastic band is made with possibility of fixation to garment by means of available fasteners from textile tapes. In the middle of the elastic band there is a longitudinal corrugated path in the form of triangular projections, having an inclined side on the side of the free end of the elastic band, and on the other side – a straight side perpendicular to the surface of the elastic band. Metal buckle is made in the form of a flat base attached together with one end of the elastic band to the garment and having a slot on one side for passage of the free end of the elastic band. Base is made integral with stepped side walls, to which two guide rollers are installed at the outlet of the free end of the elastic band from the metal buckle, for pressing the elastic band along both edges from the corrugated path to the base of the metal buckle. In the middle of the side walls there is an axis of a swinging rocker, one arm of which is made in the form of a triangular pawl, installed by the vertex of the angle in the recesses between the triangular projections of the corrugated path in such a way that the straight side of the triangular profile of the pawl adjoins the straight side of the triangular projection of the corrugated path, and the inclined side of the triangular profile of the pawl adjoins the inclined side of the triangular projection of the corrugated path. Second arm of the rocker is made in the form of a button. Above the lower steps of the stepped side walls, a mechanical timer is installed so that between its lower base and the pawl there is a gap in which a spring is installed, for pressing the pawl to the grooves of the corrugated path, and along the axis of the spring there is a start button of the mechanical timer. Mechanical timer spring winding head and a time reset button are installed on the housing of the mechanical timer.
EFFECT: providing simplicity, convenience and speed of bringing the device into working condition and reliability of dosing pressure and fixation of the band, as well as control over the duration of its application.
