During the medical examination of the employee, a complex of individual signs is detected: presence of snoring, daytime sleepiness, sleepiness at work, total score by Epworth questionnaire, arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, cardiac rhythm disturbances during sleep, determination of body weight index (BWI), Mallampati score. An employee is referred to a risk group of OSAS, following the rule: presence of one of the following signs: snoring, obesity with BMI ≥ 30, daytime sleepiness or sleepiness at work with total score ≥ 7 by Epworth questionnaire or presence of one of the following signs: arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, disturbed heart rhythm during sleep, structure of oropharynx of 3-4 class according to Mallampati in combination with one of signs: snoring, obesity with BMI ≥ 30, daytime sleepiness or sleepiness at work with total score ≥ 7 by Epworth questionnaire.

EFFECT: method enables forming a risk group of obstructive sleep apnoea/hypopnea syndrome (OSAS) at the stage of medical examinations of employees, detecting OSAS, diagnosing and eliminating it in a timely manner.
