FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a stepladder and a ball-bearing screw mechanism for connecting a stool and a ladder, unfolding, and folding the ladder and thus converting the stool into a ladder and vice versa. Stepladder stool comprises seat with legs, stiffeners connecting the legs, one of which acts as a stop for the step in the stool position, steps that convert the stool into a stepladder and vice versa, and stiffeners connecting the steps to each other. Steps and stiffeners connecting the steps to each other form a ladder built into the stool and performing the function of a stepladder when unfolding said ladder. Stepladder additionally includes a ball-bearing screw mechanism, which is a connecting unit of said stool and ladder and realizes the function of unfolding and folding the ladder and thus converting the stool into a stepladder and vice versa. Ball-bearing screw mechanism is made in such a way that the bearing is put on the screw, the first washer is put on the screw with the bearing, second washer is put on screw with bearing and first washer, screw with bearing and two washers is closed by nut.

EFFECT: achieving smoother conversion of a stool into a stepladder and back, higher safety and reliability.
