FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gel-polymer electrolytes. Disclosed is a method of producing gel-polymer optically transparent electrolytes, involving a copolymerisation of melamine and formaldehyde or melamine and glyoxal with one or more polyols and adding a strong protic acid at an acid concentration of 3.0 to 7.5% or 10.0 to 40.0% in the copolymer solution to form an optically transparent gel polymer. Embodiments of said method are also disclosed. Disclosed method enables to obtain gel-polymer electrolytes with excellent optical transparency, high ionic conductivity, insignificant shrinkage and good adhesion to various materials.
EFFECT: electrolyte according to invention can be used in electrochromic devices and other optical-electrochemical devices, as well as in electric energy storage devices (accumulators, supercapacitors and hybrid accumulators) instead of traditional water-based electrolytes.
