FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a microporous material and a microporous material based on polyvinyl acetal for separation of components of aqueous suspensions and emulsions and purification of water from mechanical impurities and dissolved organic and organoelement substances. Method of producing microporous material based on polyvinyl acetal includes a step of dissolving polyvinyl alcohol in water, a step of adding a polysaccharide to the obtained solution, adding an amphiphilic substance to the obtained solution, cooling the mixture and adding an aldehyde and an acid from a number of protic acids, a step for molding and hardening the mixture and steps for washing and drying the hardened material. Obtained material contains 7–10 wt.% of polyvinyl alcohol, 5–8 wt.% of a polysaccharide, 3–8 wt.% of an aldehyde, 0.5–3 wt.% of an amphiphilic substance, 3–8 wt.% of an acid and the rest is water and the balance is water.

EFFECT: obtained microporous material has through microporosity and high sorption capacity.
