FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to membrane technologies and can be used for selective extraction of water vapour during drying of gas mixtures. Described is a composite membrane for drying gas mixtures, comprising a microporous polymer enclosed in pores of a rigid porous matrix. Pore diameter of the porous matrix is 5–250 nm. Said polymer has polar functional groups and has the Kuhn statistical segment length of not less than 10 % of porous matrix pore diameter. Polar functional groups of said polymer are chemically bonded with surface groups of matrix pore walls.

EFFECT: invention improves gas transport properties of the composite membrane with increasing selectivity of extraction of water vapour from gas mixtures and a factor of their separation due to reduced permeability of polymer macromolecules in a rigid matrix.
