SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerosol generators for an aerosol-generating device, and to aerosol-generating devices comprising said aerosol generators. Aerosol generator for an aerosol-generating device and an aerosol-generating device comprising an aerosol generator, wherein the aerosol generator comprises a plurality of surface acoustic wave atomisers and a supply element. Each atomizer on surface acoustic waves contains substrate having an active surface; and at least one transducer located on the active surface of the substrate for generating surface acoustic waves on the active surface of the substrate. Atomisation region is formed between substrates of multiple atomizers on surface acoustic waves. Supply element is configured to supply a liquid aerosol-forming substrate into the atomisation region.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the aerosol-generating device.
