FIELD: smoking accessories.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerosol generator (100) for aerosol generating device (200), wherein aerosol generator (100) comprises surface acoustic wave sprayer (102) and feed element (104). Surface acoustic wave sprayer (102) comprises substrate (106) comprising active surface (110) defining spraying area (116), and at least one transducer (108) located on active surface (110) of substrate (106) for generating surface acoustic waves for determining an acoustic wave front on active surface (110) of substrate (106). Feeding element (104) is configured to supply the aerosol-forming liquid substrate to spraying area (116) so that the aerosol-forming liquid substrate in spraying area (116) defines the boundary between active surface (110), the aerosol-forming liquid substrate and atmosphere. At least one transducer (108) and feed element (104) are made so that the shape of the acoustic wave front at the boundary corresponds to the shape of at least part of the boundary.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at efficient spraying of aerosol-forming liquid substrates using surface acoustic waves.
