FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used for reconstruction of cotyloid cavity in posttraumatic defect. A 3D model of a base of test figures is formed for bones of the cotyloid cavity, pubic, ischial, iliac, which are 1/3 of divided into three parts, hemispheres consisting of a spherical base, two contact faces, apex and a positioning plane. Frontal, sagittal and horizontal planes are built on 3D-model of pelvis with their intersection at point "0". After picking up test figures, their volume is stated. Based on the obtained values, the percentage of damage in each sector of the pubic, ischial, iliac bones for the injured cotyloid cavity is calculated by formulas.
EFFECT: method provides accurate selection of the type of acetabular component, surgical intervention, plasty at the stage of surgical treatment and further due to selection of test figures and further calculations.
