SUBSTANCE: standardization of the method of quantitative MR determination of iron concentration in the liver creates an MR-compatible phantom of various iron concentrations with specified reference values and confidence intervals according to the Bland-Altman plot; the T2* values obtained as a result of measurements on a calibrated MR tomograph for each level of iron concentration of the created phantom are compared with the reference results obtained on the basis of previous multiple measurements on two MR tomographs of different manufacturers with a field strength of 3 and 1.5 T; if the measurement results fall within the confidence intervals for the reference values, the application of the formula for converting T2* values into LIC is recognized as reliable on the device being calibrated; if T2* values differ from the reference ones, the parameters of the MR sequence and the scanning protocol are calibrated until this correspondence is achieved.
EFFECT: standardizing a quantitative magnetic resonance assessment of the iron content in the liver using a phantom of iron nanoparticles.
