SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to medical rehabilitation, physiotherapy, therapeutic physical training, neurology, orthopedics, traumatology, and can be used to relax spasmodic muscles, increase muscle strength of extremities, improve motor capabilities, coordination of movements, restore walking pattern in treating patients with infantile cerebral paralysis. Stimulating electric pulse effect is performed on relaxed antagonist muscles with pulse frequency from 15 to 35 Hz, pulse signal duration from 5 to 60 mcs, current signal level in range of 5 to 75% of the signal power at which the patient senses vibration. Relaxation effect on spasmodic agonist muscles is carried out by thermal exposure at temperature of 42 to 60 °C. Additionally, spinal segments responsible for innervation of muscle agonist/antagonist pairs to be treated are subjected to thermal exposure of 42 to 60 °C. Exposure to muscle agonist/antagonist pairs and spinal segments responsible for innervation of muscle agonist/antagonist pairs, can be carried out simultaneously and electric pulse exposure and relaxation exposure are carried out on separate areas of the body or on all at once.

EFFECT: method provides higher patient’s activity during walking training, improved motor capabilities, restoration of gait symmetry.
