SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a hookah cartridge, a hookah system, and a method of using it. Hookah cartridge for containing an aerosol-forming hookah substrate for use in a hookah device comprises a main part comprising a side wall and a bottom wall, and a cavity within the main part, one or more walls of the main part comprising a heat-deformable portion configured to form an opening in response to a temperature above a threshold temperature. Cavity is made with possibility of fluid communication with the outer side of the main part of the cartridge by means of the formed hole.

EFFECT: provided is a hookah cartridge, which is in a closed state before exposure to a temperature equal to or higher than the threshold temperature and has openings after exposure to a temperature equal to or higher than the threshold temperature.
