FIELD: control and measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control and measuring equipment and can be used for remote determination of the point of weakening of electrical contact in electrical installations. Method for remote determination of the point of weakening of electrical contact between series-connected elements of an electrical installation, which consists in the fact that in an object containing series-connected elements, measuring voltage between power terminals of object and housing of object, is characterized by that in order to remotely determine the point of weakening of the electrical contact between the series-connected elements of the electrical installation, a measurement circuit comprising a potentiometer with a graduated field proportional to points on the circuit line of the elements of the object, between which and the object housing voltage is determined by a voltmeter with high input resistance, connected in parallel to the potentiometer, is connected to one of the object power terminals, measuring voltage of this terminal relative to the housing of the object with the introduced potentiometer, similar actions are performed with the other power terminal of the object, initial values of voltage of power terminals of object relative to housing of object are obtained, for remote determination of places of weakened contacts measurement circuit is connected to one of power terminals of object, outputting a potentiometer, then smoothly introducing a potentiometer, obtaining a voltage distribution diagram between the points of the object and the housing of the object from the side of the power terminal to which the measurement circuit is connected, determining the point of the weakened contact from the obtained diagram by the stepwise change in voltage on it, measurement circuit is connected to another power terminal of the object, a potentiometer is output, then smoothly introducing a potentiometer, obtaining a diagram of voltage distribution between points of the object and the housing on the side of the other power terminal, to which the measurement circuit is connected, the point of the weakened contact is determined from the obtained diagram from the abrupt change in voltage on it.
EFFECT: remote determination of the circuit point of weakening of the electrical contact of objects containing in-series connected elements (sections) without changing the mode of operation of the object with a minimum number of measurements and minimum standard measuring devices.
