FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the instrumentation technology and can be used to establish the place of reduction of insulation resistance in the windings of electrical machines, electrical installations, etc. Essence: measure the voltage between the connection points of the potentiometer in a working object under operating voltage, when the potentiometer is connected between the pole of the object and its case, at various values of its resistance. For each value of the measured voltage, a straight-line diagram of the voltages between the turns of the winding and the case is determined and the number of turns of the winding per one volt difference between the phase voltage and each value of the measured voltage between the potentiometer connection points is calculated. In the case of a decrease in the insulation resistance in the winding, the voltage between the winding pole and the housing is measured, the voltage diagram between the windings and the case corresponding to this voltage is determined. Resistance of the resulting additional leakage through the insulation is calculated. In the initial data, the potentiometer value is found close to the resistance of the additional leakage, and the corresponding voltage between the winding pole and the case. Voltage difference between the pole of the winding and the case corresponding to additional leakage, and voltage between the pole of the winding and the case corresponding to a potentiometer value close to the resistance of the additional leakage is determined. Product of the voltage difference with the number of turns of the winding coming to one volt phase voltage difference and the voltage corresponding to the value of the potentiometer, close to the resistance of the additional leakage, allows to determine the sequence number of the coil, in the insulation of which there was a leakage of current to the case. According to the voltage diagram between the winding turns and the case corresponding to the additional leakage, the voltage applied to the leakage is found, and the active power released from the leakage is calculated.
EFFECT: technical result: ability to remotely establish a place to reduce the insulation resistance of an object under operating voltage, containing series-connected elements, without access to them.
