METHOD TO DIAGNOSE ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B6/00

Abstract RU 2819148 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to the analysis of medical data, and can be used to diagnose Alzheimer's disease. The patient's brain is examined by magnetic resonance imaging with the introduction of a contrast agent. The magnetic susceptibility values of the basal veins in the left L_BV and right R_BV hemispheres of the brain, as well as the veins of the thalamus of the left L_TV and right R_TV hemispheres of the brain are determined from the obtained tomographic images. The ranges of the obtained magnetic susceptibility values are determined in accordance with the intervals of their categorical values and the obtained values are encoded into the categorical values of the magnetic susceptibility of the basal veins and thalamus veins L_BV*, R_BV*, L_TV*, R_TV*, respectively. Using discrete functional dependencies of variables of categorical values of magnetic susceptibility, the values of the decision root K are determined in matrix form depending on the matrix value of the root matrix obtained by the algorithm, according to which if K takes the value CON, then the patient does not have Alzheimer's disease, if K takes the value AD, then the patient has Alzheimer's disease, and if K has a CON/AD value, then they decide on an additional examination of the patient.

EFFECT: method provides the creation of a method for diagnosing Alzheimer's disease at any stage of its development, i.e. at the preclinical phase, at the stage making a preliminary diagnosis or at the stage of making a final diagnosis, when the development of Alzheimer's disease can be slowed down or prevented by forming the root of solutions using categorical values of the magnetic susceptibility of the basal veins and thalamus veins of the patient's brain.
