SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for additive manufacturing of a three-dimensional object. Technical result is achieved by the fact that in the disclosed solution orientation of 3D model generated by the additive manufacturing device is determined, the platform for holding 3D object is configured to move relative to the bath, solution comprises steps of: defining a surface geometry of 3D model, wherein the surface geometry includes a plurality of surface segments, assigning one or more weight coefficients to the surface segments, wherein the weight factor indicates the degree of sensitivity of each of the surface segments to the effects caused by mechanical removal of any support structure thereon, setting an evaluation function; orientation of 3D model relative to the construction direction is determined based on the evaluation function by optimizing the polar and azimuthal angles.
EFFECT: high accuracy of the shape of obtained 3D object by reducing the number of support structures in sensitive surface segments.
