FIELD: explosion-proof equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an explosion-proof housing designed to be placed in the internal cavity of the housing of devices that, in an explosive atmosphere, can serve as sources of initiation of an explosion. The technical result is achieved by the fact that the explosion-proof housing (10) has several outer walls (11) that cover the internal cavity (12) of the housing and in an explosion-proof manner separate it from the explosive atmosphere in the environment (13). At least one of them is provided with at least one gas-permeable insert (15) that is safe in relation to flame breakthrough, having an inner side (25) facing the internal cavity (12) of the housing and an outer side (26) facing the environment (13). Moreover, the explosion-proof housing (10) is equipped with at least one guiding device (27), which forms a flow channel (28) near the corresponding outer side (26) of at least one insert (15) with the possibility of entering this flow channel of gas passing through at least one insert (15). The guide devices (27) are made with the possibility of forming in the flow channel (28) the main gas flow moving in the direction (R) along the outer side (26) adjoining the corresponding flow channel of at least one insert (15). The flow channel (28) has an inlet (30) and an outlet (31) located vertically above the inlet (30) at a distance from it in the direction (R) of the main gas flow. The inlet (30) and outlet (31) of the flow channel go into the environment (13), and at least one insert (15) is located between the inlet (30) and outlet (31) of the flow channel in the direction (R) of the main gas flow. The guiding devices (27) have guiding walls (29) covering, at least in some areas, the flow channel (28) around the perimeter only from three sides around the direction (R) of the main gas flow and, together with the adjacent outer wall (11), limiting the corresponding flow channel (28).
EFFECT: creation of an explosion-proof housing providing improved heat exchange between the environment and the internal cavity of the housing without additional active flow-creating devices.
