SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to counter unmanned aerial vehicles. To this end, disclosed is a method of countering unmanned aerial vehicles transmitting information to a ground-based information pickup station, carried out by means of electronic warfare system and including measurement of spatial coordinates of unmanned aerial vehicles and directional emission of interference in target zone, wherein the target zone is the zone of location of ground-based information pickup points by unmanned aerial vehicles, and jamming is performed using an electronic warfare system mounted on an aircraft lighter than air at altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level.

EFFECT: improved protection of guarded objects from UAVs, which collect information and transmit it to a ground-based information pickup station.
