SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering for countering unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). Provided is a method for countering a UAV using a satellite channel for transmitting information, carried out using two receivers, in which one receiver is placed on an aircraft at altitude of 100 meters, and the second receiver is placed on the earth's surface, wherein the receivers detect radio signals in the ranges available according to the technical characteristics of the receivers, then the information obtained from them is compared on a comparator device and if there is no signal on the ground receiver, but there is one on the second receiver located on the aircraft, or the signal level on the ground receiver is less than 10 times than on the receiver on the aircraft, a conclusion is made on the possible operation of the UAV, transmitting information to a satellite transponder.
EFFECT: detecting the fact of appearance of UAVs in a local area, transmitting information using a satellite transponder.
