FIELD: power electronics.
SUBSTANCE: used in secondary power sources and systems, in the creation of multi-level inverters, as well as in the implementation of autonomous multi-level DC electrical energy exchange systems. The essence of the invention is a universal DC voltage converter for powering a multi-level voltage inverter, containing a universal level source, which includes a switch and two pulse DC voltage converters, powered by a DC voltage source. New elements in the converter are five controlled switches, an additional capacitor and a reactor.
EFFECT: expansion of functionality and reduction of active losses.
