FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and clinical microbiology. Disclosed is a method of forming a biofilm with anaerobic bacteria Lactobacillus casei recovered from periodontal pockets, involving cultivation of periodontal contents on MRS agar for lactobacilli for 24 hours at 37 °C, then isolated isolates are cultivated on medium for lactobacillus of specified composition at pH 6.2 for 24 hours at 37 °C, after which pure cultures are diluted to concentration of 107 CFU/ml and cultured under Parafilm film in wells of a polystyrene plate, which is placed in a CO2-incubator with an oxygen-free gas mixture containing 80% of nitrogen, 15% of hydrogen, 5% of carbon dioxide, for 3-14 days at 37 °C.
EFFECT: invention enables to recreate the Lactobacillus casei biofilm model for research on creating new effective probiotics in dentistry.
