FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method of anaerobic microbial biofilm formation under fluid conditions in vitro is proposed. The method comprises three stages: at the first stage, a bacterial suspension of a pure culture of Streptococcus sanguinison is added to a substrate made of polymeric materials in a closed container, at the second stage, Fusobacterium nucleatum is added, at the third stage, Porphyromonas gingivalis, or Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans, or Tannerella forsythia, or Prevotella intermedia is added, and cultured for 48 h, 72 h, 120 h, respectively. The bacterial suspension of each pure culture is diluted in 0.1% semifluid agar medium - brain and heart broth BHI, LIM or AC containing 0.01% of menadione and 0.1% of hemin to a concentration of 106-108CFU/ml and cultured in mikroanaerostate, located in a shaker-incubator at 37°C.
EFFECT: recreation of a anaerobic microbial biofilm model in vitro under the conditions of liquid phase flow.
