FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to aluminium-based alloys, and can be used in production of deformed semi-finished products having high strength, heat resistance and intended for operation in a wide range of temperatures, up to 260 °C. Method of producing deformed semi-finished products from an aluminium alloy includes obtaining a melt based on aluminium containing manganese and copper, obtaining a cast billet in the form of a bar by crystallisation of the melt at a cooling rate of not less than 1,000 °C/s, deformation of the cast billet at room temperature, intermediate and final annealing of the deformed billet. Copper is added to the melt in amount of 3.5 to 4.5 wt. % and manganese in amount of 2.8 to 3.5 wt. %, deformation of the cast workpiece is carried out by settling, deformed workpiece is subjected to intermediate annealing at temperature of 300–360 °C for 2–6 hours, then twisting is carried out under pressure of 4–6 GPa and number of revolutions from 3 to 5, without heating of workpiece, and final annealing of deformed semi-finished product at temperature of 240–260 °C for 3–6 hours.
EFFECT: obtaining a heat-resistant deformed semi-finished product with high mechanical properties in an annealed state: tensile strength is not less than 550 MPa, yield point is not less than 450 MPa, relative elongation in tension is not less than 10 %.
