FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Method consists in distribution by catena method and selection of soil samples having coordinate referencing on area. Following formula is used: , where N is the number of points for sampling soil samples, pieces; S is field area, m2; P is field perimeter, m; 0.3 – depth of sampling, m; 0.5 is a constant value; K1 – correction factor for slope steepness, which at slope steepness less than 1°, 1°, 2°, 3°, 4°, 5° is equal to 1.00, 1.02, 1.03, 1.05, 1.06, 1.08, respectively; K2 is a correction factor for the slope exposure, which is 1.08 at the south and west exposure, and 1.07 at the north and east exposure; K3 is a correction factor for the shape of the slope, which with a straight shape of the slope is equal to 1.10, with a convex shape – 1.14, with a concave shape of slope is 1.07.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine the optimum number of soil samples of a field in conditions of erosional agricultural landscapes taking into account spatial variability of soil for objective assessment of its fertility.
