FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in normal and topographic anatomy, veterinary science. Method for preparing a dry macropreparation of a Wistar white rat skeleton envisages soft tissue removal and complete evisceration of internal organs. Obtained musculoskeletal frame is treated by wrapping the preparation with gauze soaked in 10% acetic acid for an exposure of up to 24 hours. Further, the preparation is treated using an agent for dissolving contaminants in sewage pipes by immersing it completely in solution for 1 hour. Preparation is dried at room temperature and under direct exposure to sunlight for up to 24 hours. Preparation is then exposed at room temperature to a composition consisting of 10% acetic acid, 95% ethyl alcohol, distilled water, taken at ratio of 1:2:10. Further, the preparation is treated with 6% hydrogen peroxide by means of a spraying apparatus for whitening the bone framework and completed by washing with distilled water.

EFFECT: proposed method of producing a dry macropreparation provides preservation of the structure of all elements of the skeleton due to the preservation of an insignificant amount of soft tissues in the area of bone articulation in a state of mummification, enables to significantly reduce time and improve quality of preparing the dry macropreparation, provides optimum detailing, reduced deformation of bone tissue during preparation.
