FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely, to a method for applying a composition of thermosetting and osteoinductive osteoplastic material based on a composition of a chitosan hydrogel and polylactide or chitosan particles with impregnated bone morphogenetic protein 2 in order to replace skeletal bone defects; according to the invention, claimed composition is cooled to +4°C and introduced into the bone defect, with exposure of up to 4–15 minutes; after the composition is cured, the wound is sutured in layers; in order to stimulate primary osteogenesis, exposure is conducted in the implantation area for at least 1 month.

EFFECT: invention ensures uniform distribution with subsequent curing in the wound, thereby ensuring further controlled full regeneration of the defect due to the formation of newly formed bone tissue.
