FIELD: hydrogen generation systems.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions generally relates to a method for generating gaseous hydrogen and a system for its implementation, and more specifically, to such a method and a system for its implementation, which is equipped with a buffer tank. The system contains: block (10) control; a liquid reservoir (60) having an inlet (61) for receiving a liquid reagent (91) from an external source, an outlet (63) for emitting a liquid reagent (91) from the liquid reservoir (60); a liquid heating unit (50), having an outlet (51), an inlet (55) for receiving a liquid reagent (91) from a liquid reservoir (60), heating elements (56) controlled by a control unit (10), wherein the unit (50) - heating the liquid is configured to heat the liquid reactant (91) in such a way that a portion of the liquid reactant (91) enters the gaseous phase; a reaction chamber (40) having an inlet (43) in fluid communication with an outlet (51) of the liquid heating unit by means of a control valve (52), wherein the control valve (52) is controlled by the control unit (10), wherein the reaction chamber (40) contains a solid reagent (47) and is adapted to receive the heated reagent (90) from the liquid heating unit (50). Moreover, the heated reagent (90) is dispersed through the solid reagent (47), as a result of which a gaseous product is obtained, while the gaseous product is a mixture containing gaseous hydrogen and excess heated reagent (90), which did not react with the solid reagent (47), and at this gaseous product is emitted from the reaction chamber (40) through the gas outlet (42); and a heat transfer means (53) configured to transfer heat from the reaction chamber (40) to the liquid heating unit (50). At the same time, the condensation unit (70), having an inlet (71) for receiving a gaseous product from the reaction chamber (40), an outlet (72) for directing hydrogen gas outward from the condensation unit (70), and the condensation unit (70) is made with the possibility of condensing the heated reagent (90), while the system additionally contains a buffer tank (82) located downstream from the condensation unit (70), and the buffer tank is configured to receive and store hydrogen gas. In addition, the buffer vessel is provided with a pressure measuring means (83), and the pressure in the buffer vessel is used to ascertain the start and stop of the hydrogen gas generation reaction.
EFFECT: technical result of the claimed group of inventions is the development of a system and method that generates gaseous hydrogen at optimal speeds, thereby leading to reagent savings and cost reduction.
