FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used in studying mechanical properties of dental materials. Three pairs of material samples are analysed. At that, three samples from composite hybrid material are abraded with three analysed samples made from glass-ionomer cement, which components, powder and liquid, are mixed in three different proportions. To make experimental samples, rubber matrices of the same thickness and diameter are used, where the composite hybrid material is packed into three matrices and polymerised using a lamp. Investigated samples are made in three consistencies: in proportions of powder and liquid recommended by the manufacturer; with excess powder; and with shortage of powder. To fix the experimental samples, a cylindrical borer fixed with the same material is introduced into the centre of each sample. Then, after hardening of samples, thickness of each of them is determined in four points and average value is calculated. After that, the samples are fixed, the surfaces are compared and four cycles of abrasion are carried out for one minute, wherein the sample from the composite hybrid material is rotated for two minutes, and the analysed sample from the glass-ionomer cement is rotated for the next two minutes. Then, abrasion is evaluated by measuring the thickness of the samples along the perimeter, at eight points, with determination of the average value. Height loss of the compared samples is compared and greater abrasion is determined.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method for determining abrasion of dental materials in relation to each other.
