FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and is intended for pulp turbidity measurement. Device for measuring the sedimentation rate of suspended solid particles in an aqueous medium consists of a stainless steel cabinet, inside which the following components are assembled and fixed on a mounting panel: sampling cylinder connected by means of a pinch valve to the sampling sleeve; sample level control relay in the sampling cylinder with two electrodes; filter-regulator with a compressed air pressure switch for supplying compressed air to the sampling cylinder; ejector for creating a vacuum in the sampling cylinder; control and detection unit with built-in 24 V DC power supply unit; two ultrasonic sensors located on both sides of the sampling cylinder and configured to emit and receive a signal passing through the measured medium; pneumatic system including a flushing water valve, an air control valve, an ejector valve and an air switching valve; as well as automatic circuit breaker.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of measurements and control over sedimentation of solid suspended particles in water medium with the same error introduced by piezoelectric sensors, and not depending on conditions of dustiness, fog, intense external illumination, low temperatures, strong vibration.
