SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for spot contact welding. Welding machine is equipped with device (6) for temporary release of support arm (7) of first electrode (3a), which comprises hollow axisymmetric housing (8) with possibility of rotation around axis at least between first angular position, in which axial section (8a) of the housing is located with the possibility of preventing the rotation of said console (7), and the second angular position, in which window (10) is located along the trajectory of rotation of console (7). Lever (11) for actuation of housing (8) is made with possibility of sliding and placement in parallel to housing (8) or location protruding from said housing (8). Housing (8) has seat (12), the shape of which provides locking engagement with lever (11) and activation of rotation of housing (8) between said angular positions by moving said lever (11).
EFFECT: possibility of temporary spacing of electrodes enables to position the apparatus in a desired manner for welding.
