FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a halogenated pyridinium salt for providing protection against corrosion. Halogenated pyridinium salt is obtained by a method involving the addition of a bipyridine-based compound, a pyridine-based compound and a halogenated hydrocarbon to a solvent and mixing them sufficiently to carry out a reaction to obtain a halogenated pyridinium salt. Compound based on bipyridine is any compound selected from 4,4-bipyridine and 2,2-bipyridine, pyridine-based compound is any compound selected from pyridine and 2,6-dimethylpyridine, and the halogenated hydrocarbon has the structural formula X-R6-X, where R6 is selected from alkylaryl, which contains 8–20 carbon atoms, and X is selected from fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine. Invention also discloses a corrosion inhibitor having the effect of inhibiting hydrate formation, a method for production thereof and use thereof.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a corrosion inhibitor having the effect of inhibiting hydrate formation, which can provide both protection against corrosion and inhibition of hydrate formation in equipment of steel pipelines.
