SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to paediatric surgery, maxillofacial surgery, general surgery, and can be used for treating large-cystic lymphatic malformations of soft tissues. Method includes intraoperative ultrasonic examination to determine puncture point of malformation cavity, plastic catheter 14G needle is inserted into the malformation cavity, followed by emptying the lymphatic malformation cavity and introducing Haemoblock solution into the pathological cavities. Haemoblock solution is diluted with iodine-soluble contrast substance Ultravist 240 mg of iodine/ml immediately before introduction; volume of Haemoblock solution corresponds to half the volume of liquid previously obtained from the cavity during aspiration, volume of iodine-soluble contrast substance Ultravist 240 mg of iodine/ml is calculated by formula 1 ml of solution = 1 year of patient’s life, but not more than 25 ml. Further, the obtained solution is foamed in syringes using a three-way valve for 1 minute, at rate of 1 ml of solution to 1 ml of air. It is introduced into the cavity under the control of an electron-optical converter, and distribution of the solution in the malformation cavities is estimated. Thereafter, the catheter is closed for exposure for 7 minutes, followed by evacuation of the contents and external compression of the area of the lymphatic malformation cavities for 3 days.

EFFECT: use of the invention enables to achieve increased effectiveness and reduced risk of recurrence after sclerotherapy of large cystic lymphatic malformation, improved results of treatment due to use of iodine-soluble contrast and electro-optical converter for visualization of sclerosing agent distribution in malformation cavities, foaming the solution to increase the area of contact with the endothelium.
