FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology, and can be used to study lachrymal passages. Immediately before the study, a contrast mixture is prepared: in 3 ml of a contrast preparation Unihexol with iodine content of 300 mg/ml, a trypan blue dye in amount of 0.5 ml is added. Swinging movements ensure complete distribution of trypan blue in Unihexol and obtaining a dark blue solution. Obtained contrast mixture is instilled into a conjunctival cavity with the patient in a sitting position in amount of 3 drops. After 5 minutes, a conjunctival cavity is soaked with a sterile tissue from residues of the contrast mixture to reduce the probability of artefacts, and a cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is performed. After the first stage, 0.3% solution of inokain is instilled, and then using a syringe with a cannula, the contrast mixture is introduced into the lachrymal passages until the patient senses the contrast solution in the nose or nasopharynx or the appearance of a coloured blue solution, which is poured back into the conjunctival cavity. Then CBCT is repeated.

EFFECT: use of the invention provides an increase in the imaging capacity of the contrast mixture, prevention of distortion of true functional state of lachrymal passages before examination, determination of contrast mixture evacuation from conjunctival cavity after instillation.
